about
I am very fortunate to have turned my passion into my profession. As an architect, I get to do what fulfills me: designing something relevant that adds quality to our lives. I get to give tangible form to the fundamental human need for a protective home and stimulating living space—at the intersection of art and science.
As a child, I was fascinated by finely ornamented historic facades and skyscrapers towering into the sky. I was moved by the question of what holds these structures together, both technically and creatively.
I wanted not only to understand their rational construction, but also to comprehend the motivation of their creators and thus grasp the history and intention behind our built environment.
In my first degree in philosophy and linguistics, I pursued my fascination with the big questions of meaning and what shapes our thinking and perception. These two disciplines show how diverse human experience and expression can be and how much our view of the world is shaped by terms and concepts.
Above all, however, they strengthened my ability to analyze precisely, ask critical questions, and think through and weigh new concepts without judgment.
During my architecture studies, I then delved deeper into the rational and technical aspects of building: construction, building physics, building chemistry, and infrastructure.
At the same time, my enthusiasm for architectural history and historical building methods grew, reflecting the diversity of real life and knowledge tested over centuries.
I became convinced that naturalness, beauty, and durability should be the guiding principles of my architectural work.
As a result, I became increasingly interested in historical constructions, traditional methods, and natural building materials.
With great sensitivity, I seek individually appropriate and livable solutions.
In every project, I try to capture and promote the essential -
the valuable things that touch and remain with us.
